Yosemite…our new favorite place ever!

Categories: Life is Good! | October 26th, 2006 | by admin | no comments

Tom & I have both been to Yosemite several times but this was our first time as a family and it just tripled the fun. Danny was in heaven! He didn’t have to rush anywhere, could stop and explore for as long as he wanted to, could throw stones at almost everything or hit it with a stick. We spent all day outside except when we were snoozing in our cozy tent cabin. We got to feed deer and a hungry pack of racoons stole our chips and ate them. At night you could hear the rangers chasing bears from our camp although Danny was disappointed that we never got to see one.

We found an awesome BBQ site complete with bolders and a climbing tree for the kids to stay occupied with and every day we would spend a least a couple hours throwing stones in a creek near our campsite. Carly stayed warm in her little snowsuit as it got down to the 40s in the morning and evenings. Thank God for such a beautiful place and perfect weather while we were there & thanks Paula & cousins, Justin & Nadia & baby V, Darren & Claire & kids for the great company! We are definitely going back for more!

Our princess turned 1 on Sept. 29th but because she had a cold we celebrated the following Saturday with banana bread cup cakes, ice cream, dollies, learning toys, dresses & bows, balloons and streamers and lots of music and dancing because Carly loves to dance (she bounces up & down and smiles real big).

Well Danny got his first hair cut at a hair dressers, and I’m afraid it might fall under his 5 worst things to do catagory. It didn’t help that the hair dresser was quite impatience with him and kept saying, “Hold still or I’ll snip your ear!”, to which Danny would reply, “I don’t like this lady, Mama” while he pointed at her. I should really learn to cut hair.
