Yesterday Danny asked me what a wish was. “It’s when you hope for something that you’d really like to happen. Like, I wish I could go to Sea World or I wish I could have some strawberry icecream.” Danny got real quiet for a bit and then he smiled and said, “Mom, I wish I could be a grown up and drink wine.”
Then today while reading his new favorite book, The CAT in the HAT Beginners Dictionary, he saw a picture of a man using a pick axe. “Oh Mom, I’d really like a pick axe for my birthday.” “Well, it’s a bit dangerous, Danny, I don’t think they make ones for little kids, maybe when you are a little older.” He thot about that for a minute and then said,
“Mom, when I grow up I’m going to drink wine and use a pick axe at the same time.”

Danny really enjoyed hanging out with his friend Kyle yesterday. They decided these shelves in the pantry were their “bunk beds”. These guys both love the outdoors and collected a whole family of snails & then tried to figure out what snails eat, “Danny, do you think we should catch some rollie pollies to feed the snails?”, “No, Kyle, let’s catch lizards”, “But lizards are bigger than snails”, “Oh, I know, I know, I know, Kyle, let’s pick oranges to feed the snails.”
I’ve also decided that all rescue heros have a twin. Yes! And they are just as strong as each other, save just as many people, fight just as many bad guys and are just as cool. They also both always wear the same outfit. “That’s okay you can both be Spider man, didn’t you know he has a twin brother who is also Spider man and they are best friends and never fight each other?”
