Last Sunday I took Danny to the market, he kept running around while I was trying to shop until a friendly vendor started playing with him and feeding him fresh oranges which he refused to let me pay for.
I was walking home with Carly in the stroller and a woman got out of busy traffic and followed me for a couple blocks to tell me that Carly’s shoe had fallen off and told me exactly where I could find it.
While in line at the grocery store the woman in front of me insisted that I go ahead of her in line, “You have little ones, I know what that’s like.” Her little boy was 5 years old. (Incidently this happened right after I had told Danny for the 10th time that I couldn’t buy him any of the candy displayed at the check out.)
The kindness and interest shown to the kids has been refreshing and brings back happy memories of growing up.

Early Morning Presents - we let him open his presents first thing in the morning like Christmas.
I love their early morning dos & sleepy faces.

Danny got a Rescue Hero command center complete with rescue heros and their equipment!

Spiderman pinata

Strawberries & cream with gummy tarantulas - I have no idea why the cake had so many candles - that was something that Danny & Daddy worked out but he liked it! Spiders was the theme of his birthday party and if he had his way he’d wear his spider man PJs all day - every day.
He has all sorts of ideas about turning three…
“Did you know the three year olds are so big they don’t take naps anymore?”
“Now that I’m three I need 3 gummy vitamins instead of just 2.”
“Now that I’m 3 I’m not cold any more so I don’t need to wear a jacket anymore because I won’t get sick any more.”
“Now that I’m 3 I need Carly’s peanuts becaues she’s so little and I’m so big.”

On one of the “Rescue Heros” episodes there is a surf competition and one of the surfers taunts another competitor, “Grab your surf board, you’re going down.” We explained that the guy had a bad attitude and that Danny shouldn’t talk to people like that. So the next day he asked me, “But mom, is it okay if I say, grab your surfboard you’re going up?”
