Happy & Thankful!

Categories: Life is Good! | November 24th, 2007 | by admin | no comments

The kids are real sick with the flu & fevers this weekend, thanks for keeping them in your prayers. But we’ve had such a wonderful month we still have lots of happy news to post about and be grateful for.

Thank you Justin & Nadia for taking us all to Oma’s Pumpkin Patch & Dairy Farm, on your birthday Justin.

The kids each got to pick their own pumpkin to bring home - Notice the size difference in what they chose. :)

They “milked cows”, learned to lasso, sled down a mountain of cotton seed, pet baby farm animals and their favorite activity was the hay maze that they ran through like little mice for nearly an hour. I think they had never experienced anything like that before.

We’re thankful to get to celebrate this Thanksgiving with Grandpa & Grandma, a first for the kids. We’re thankful that we got to celebrate last year’s Thanksgiving with Grandma Lu & daddy’s family. Danny carved his first pumpkin with Grandpa.

We had lots of fun at the Halloween Party. Danny was a pirate with loads of gold chocolate coins & Carly was a fairy in pursuit of them. Thank you Auntie Paula, Auntie Christie & Renee for planning that.

We all got to be part of Jason & Clara/ Andrew & Liz’s double beach wedding this month. We’re so thankful for that and that we get to be a part of their lives. Kaylee was a flower girl, so Danny decided in all manliness that since he should have a part in the procession he would be a “rock boy”. He spent all morning filling a basket with rocks to walk down the aisle with but in the end it was too heavy to carry. He was equally proud of Jason & Andrew (his buddies) as he was of his dad who was officiating the wedding. He kept telling people, “That’s my dad up there, and that’s my dad talking on the speakers.”

We’ll end this post with a picture of Danny & Stephanie, his preschool teacher and so much more, for whom we are very grateful!
