[Heaven is] a land where children shall walk on cool springy turf, and among myrtle trees, and eat fruits that shall heal while they delight them, and drink the coolest of water, fresh from the River of Life, and have space to stretch themselves, and bathe, and leap, and run, and whichsoever way they look meet Christ’s eyes smiling on them.—Thomas Moore
Danny dashed across the yard already half way to the house and yelled back to Carly, “Race you to the house, I’m winning.” Carly was undaunted, she started running as she replied, “I’m winning in my mind.”
This did not go over at all…
Catching up on blogging about this last month. We enjoyed the Science Fair at Balboa Park on April 4th. The kids’ favorite was the show by the “Bug Guy” who provides the bugs, spiders and flies for Hollywood. He had a great show and really kept the kids attention with all his homemade bug catchers.
Danny & Carly are in the Museum of Flight here, very serious about learning.
Carly lays down on her pillow, closes her eyes and announces,
“Nobody bother me, I’m thinking about Daddy.”
Christie: Dan where do you get your energy from?
Dan: Oh, I drank coffee once.
Sea World has a lot of great shows but hands down the kids favorite is “The Pet Show”. Dogs, cats, birds, ducks and even a pig compete and perform these amazing tricks. Then after the show the kids can come down to the stage and meet the animals and pet them.
The last 2 times we watched this show Danny and Carly were the very last kids left petting the animals and the trainers were so patient answering their questions and even listening to the stories of “the tricks our dogs can do”.
Afterward I overheard Danny telling one of his friends, “I stayed really late because the animals were really fun and also the trainer was so beautiful.”
In this picture Danny’s telling them about his 2 dogs at home.
